whats in a name?

i happen to have two middle names and i happen to like my two middle names a lot.. i do not use one if i'm not using the other.. don't want my favorite to get left out. marie is soooo common it really has no meaning. it's my middle name alvina that has a part in my heart. the reasoning is because my great grandmothers name was alvina anna carolyn arndt. i love that i was named after one of my relatives and i love that she was alive when i was born. not too many people have this blessing. my first and first middle name i got because my mom had a doll that she named jessica marie and i got that grand name from a doll.. last name of course i received from my father which now is peterson. i am so fond of my new last name because i am married to my best friend and i have a piece of his name with me always. the reason this blog post came up is because i've been getting in the mail cards that were generated from my name change and they say jessica m peterson. the way i have always had it is if they cant put both initials then dont. so i told my payroll clerk to switch it and she blew up at me and said it had to match with social security. well for one thing right now it does not match.. because they are missing the second middle initital. rather than getting all puffy about it try to think of solutions. i started crying because she was intimidating and did not want to help. she said she would not change it and that the only way she would is if her manager told her to. at which point her manager told her to remove the middle names from the system. i guess it was just upsetting that something that means so much to someone can be seen as such a task for someone else. i love my name and i am very happy to have it the way it is.......................
